Why did you create Yap?

We, like many of you, were thinking that texting while driving was quite dangerous. We were especially astonished to learn that over 66% of teens do that nowadays, so we decided to do something about it! After the obvious social utility, we found out that the platform was immediately useful for many things beyond messaging, including accessing web services, transcribing your voicemails, converting audio from videos into text, the sky's the limit!
